I found this box set at JB Hifi, (in the city) for something really cheap like $50. How could you possibly go wrong? The box set contains 4 CDs that each covers a period of Al's music. Track listing can be found here. As is usual with Weird Al, each CD contains a roughly even mix of parodies and original tunes. Apparently he has a "royalty ceiling" that he has to stay underneath, because if he goes over that he ends up losing money (paying more dough for royalties than what he actually makes).

The Polka medleys are still my favourite though. They are freaking hilarious. There's something a bit sick about singing the words to "Cherry Pie" to a polka with a banjo in the background.. I love it.

But if you're really bored and you want something great to read, check out the "Ask Al Archive" - a monstrosity of a page with all of Al's answers to fan questions. A great read.

Plus if you want to see perhaps the funniest interviews ever done, go to http://www.al-oholicsanonymous.com/alvideo.html and watch the George Harrison, Prince, Madonna and Eminem vids.

Weird Al's third latest CD. "My Baby's In Love With Eddie Vedder" sees Al returning back to his piano-accordian roots with a bit of a dig at the whole grunge scene. "Pretty Fly For a Rabbi" is hilarious, "Germs" is a great NIN take-off, and this CD contains one of my most favourite Weird Al originals, "Your Horoscope For Today". Plus there's the brilliant spoken word monster "Albuquerque" and the brilliant-if-you're-a-nerd "It's All About the Pentiums". Great, great, album.

My first, foremost and fruity Weird Al CD. There's some hilarious songs here! It's a 50% mix of originals and parodies, and they're all great! The angry white boy polka is great, the zappa-esque "Genius in France" is great, and "Hardware Store" is also a lot of fun.

This CD is also a bonus "enhanced" CD and contains a very cool interview with Al, amongst other things. Definitely worth your hard earned cash.
