Tennis, the office (US), doctor who and amnesty - (Sunday, March 01, 2009)

Someone took me to task for not doing enough blog posts. So here we are.

On Sunday I played tennis. I didn't really want to, because I assumed that I'd be terrible because I play a lot of squash. Turns out it wasn't too much of a problem. Apart from the whole putting-spin-on-the-ball rubbish it wasn't too difficult to get used to. Fun.

On Sat I rented series 2 of the American version of The Office. It's pretty good, nothing like the UK version, but still quite good in its own right. Watch it if you get the chance.

On Sun I also wanted an early Doctor Who show titled "The Azteks". Actually, about as early as you can get because this was the first Doctor! Black and white, pretty average acting... not the best DW I've ever seen. Oh well. Last weekend I saw "The Brain of Morbius" which was also pretty terrible. (Actually worse than the Azteks). The writing was just terrible. Avoid those ones :)

I'm starting to become disallusioned with Amnesty. While well intentioned, their focus on North Korea is really abysmal. With over 200,000 people incarcerated in death camps, Amnesty don't even rate it as an issue. See their list of Topics. In fact, their "Counter Terror With Justice" is their highest priority. Get a grip.
